The EFT Externship is the initial training required for all subsequent EFT trainings. It is a 4-day immersion in the Emotionally Focused Couple Therapy model developed by Sue Johnson. The steps and stages of the model, specific interventions, attachment theory, emotional process and access, systemic interventions and much, much more will be covered.

Important Announcement!! This EFT externship is no longer just for those clinicians who see couples but for all therapists working across modalities. Dr. Sue Johnson has developed the EFT Treatment Model and it now stands alone in its own right as an Experiential Attachment Psychotherapy applied to Individuals (EFIT), Couples attachment (EFCT) and Families (EFFT).  Several different sections of the workshop will highlight EFT applied to the treatment of Individual clients.

In this Externship, you will learn to:

• See relationship distress from an attachment perspective
• Help partners reprocess the emotional responses that maintain relationship distress
• Shape key new interaction and bonding events and overcome therapeutic impasses.

You will also see EFT in action during live consultation sessions with real couples.  The live sessions are always a big highlight.

Cancellation Policy:

Two weeks+ advance notice – Full refund less $40 administrative costs
Between 7-13 days notice – One half of the total fee will be refunded
Less than 1 week notice – We are unable to offer a refund when canceled within one week of the workshop date, due to fixed costs and contractual obligations. When you enroll, it is with the understanding that you will attend. Please contact us as soon as possible if you need to cancel your attendance.
